Watch the Risk Analysis and Cyber Warfare

Risk analysis is a mandatory step in system development. Most methods are based on a disputable understanding of the possible impacts on system's missions of attacks made on its physical architecture. Their drawbacks are already obvious as far as small static systems are considered. But they may rule out these methods in the case of the modern complex systems targeted by cyber warfare. A major evolution of risk analysis is therefore required to deal with that context, calling on well-known methods and tools of simulation and operations research.
